BCNJ 2007 ANNUAL MEETING

BCNJ wishes to thank the sponsors, speakers, discussion panelists and the more than 250 participants who helped make this year's Annual Meeting our most successful ever. Rutgers University Graduate School -- New Brunswick 2007 Annual Distinguished Alumni/ae Awards

Sol J. Barer, Ph.D., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Celgene Corporation and a BCNJ Board Member, will be among the honorees recognized at the Rutgers University Graduate School -- New Brunswick 2007 Annual Distinguished Alumni/ae Awards on March 2, 2007, in Piscataway, NJ. The event will be held at the Division Life Sciences Building, First Floor Atrium on the Busch Campus. A cocktail reception from 5:00 to 6:30 PM, with dinner and the awards presentation following immediately thereafter.

The Fourth Annual New Jersey Biomedical Engineering Showcase

The Departments of Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers, University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Stevens Institute of Technology, Princeton University, and Kean University, in conjunction with industry partners from the Biotechnology Council of New Jersey (BCNJ), the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey (HUNJ) and the New Jersey Commission on Science and Technology, will co-host the Fourth Annual NJ Biomedical Engineering Conference on March 9, 2007, at NJIT in Newark. The day's program includes keynote panels exploring the topics of technology commercialization, New Jersey State support for the Bio/Life Sciences Cluster and global perspectives and success stories on translational research. There will be displays of student research posters, and an exhibit area where companies can present products and services, recruit new employees and network with colleagues. The afternoon program includes a lunch panel on International Perspective in Biomedical Engineering, student-focused workshops, and a career fair.

2007 New Jersey High-Tech Hall of Fame

Each year the New Jersey High-Tech Hall of Fame provides the biotechnology industry with a unique opportunity to recognize industry members who have made and who continue to make significant contributions to the growth and prosperity of the biotechnology industry in New Jersey. Please mark your calendars for the awards ceremony which will be held on, Thursday, March 22, 2007, at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston, NJ. This will be the eighth gathering of the High-Tech Hall of Fame, which is held in conjunction with our partners AeA, Advancing the Business of Technology and the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey (HINJ).
