NEW JERSEY BIOTECHNOLOGY WORKFORCE INVESTMENT INITIATIVE
"A partnership project of BioNJ, HINJ, NJCCC, NJIT and NJLWD"


BioNJ and the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey are lead industry partners in a state-funded grant to improve the skills of employees in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

All courses are taught by instructors with industry expertise affiliated either with New Jersey Institute of Technology or New Jersey's community colleges.

Pre-approved course topics are:

  • Leadership
  • Team Building
  • First Time Supervisor
  • Time Management
  • Problem Solving
  • Excel
  • E-mail Outlook
  • Access
  • Verbal Communications
  • Written Communications
  • Presentation Skills
  • English as a Second Language
  • Business Finance for Bench Scientists
  • Biotechnology for the Non-Scientists

  • There is no charge to the company when the training is delivered on company time.
  • Length of training depends on topics chosen.
  • Eligibility is restricted to New Jersey-based companies.
  • Location of training is either at company site or at a nearby New Jersey college campus.
  • Paperwork requirements to qualify are minimal, exceptionally straightforward, and rapid.
