BioNJ 2008 Biotechnology Industry Survey : New Jersey Life Sciences...Where Science is Life. New Jersey's biotechnology industry continued to both grow and mature from 2005 to 2007, according to the latest BioNJ industry survey. The industry expanded as measured by several important factors, with the number of public and private companies located in the State increasing beyond 2005 levels, while public companies experienced growth in the number of employees, revenues, research and development expenditures and market cap, according the survey released on June 30, 2008, by BioNJ with assistance from Ernst & Young.

BCNJ/Deloitte 2007 Economic Impact Study: New Jersey Biotechnology... A Robust State of Health
A growing base of well-paid jobs, rising spending on goods and services and swelling tax revenues are strong signs that New Jersey's expanding biotechnology industry has made significant and increasing contributions to the State's economy, according to a study released by BCNJ and Deloitte.

Thank you to the more than 540 registrants who made our 2010 Annual Meeting our most successful meeting ever. Dr. Sol J. Barer, Chairman and CEO of Celgene Corporation, paid a fitting tribute to former ImClone Systems CEO John H. Johnson as he presented the Dr. Sol J. Barer Award for Vision, Innovation and Leadership to John. In his keynote speech, John, who is now President of the Global Oncology Business Unit and Senior Vice President at Eli Lilly and Company, took us on an emotional ride that challenged us all to do better for patients and their families. And thanks to The Honorable James C. Greenwood, President and CEO of BIO, for his insights into the status of health care reform and other issues affecting the biotechnology industry in Washington.
